I'm back. But I'm back to posting as blueberryblondi. I thought I'd post quickly here though, in case anyone may have still had me listed as a friend here and wanted to still be friends. :-)

I didn't get the job I interviewed for. As much as I didn't think I would, I'm still really upset. They went with someone with more experience. The principal left me a voice mail and he said over and over how well I interviewed. It's nice to hear I guess, doesn't change the fact that it means another 4 months of subbing and no guarantee that it won't be the same in September. I'm a little bummed right now.

My brother go a new cell phone recently. He came home from school today totally excited and told me that he'd hacked in to his phone. Right now when his phone rings it plays Banana Phone. Seriously. I love it.

I had a job interview yesterday. Sort of. It was very impromptu. There's a maternity leave coming up at one of the schools I sub at regularly and they wanted to know if I was interested. (Duh.) I sat down with the principal and vice principal yesterday and they asked me some questions and stuff. I'm glad it was very sudden like that, otherwise I would've totally panicked and gotten all stressed about it. This way I wasn't stressed. Though I wish it had been on a day I wasn't teaching gym, I'm sure I looked oh-so-professional in my yoga pants. Oh well. It seemed to go well, the VP told me it did actually. We'll see. I think they've already picked someone, and this was more of a formality so the rest of us won't complain or whatever, but it was nice to be considered. All I can think about now is how much I want the job though. It would start April 2nd and run til the end of the year. Grade 1. And the most darling class ever. I want it!! Keep your fingers crossed for me...

I finished my 100 icons for icons100. Click here to check out 100 She-Ra icons. I had way too much fun. Some of the themes are definitely a stretch though. Oh well, I checked out other people's icons before I started and everyone has a couple that they really have to stretch for.

My last ringette game of the season is tonight. Jonathan's skipping church so he can come watch. Hopefully I'll have a good game. I'm not sure who we're playing... Hopefully not a team that'll kick our butts. Provincials are this weekend. I'm excited, we play in the valley so we all get a hotel room and get drunk Saturday night. This year we probably won't have a championship game to worry about on Sunday either. Should be good times.

I booked my plane tickets to see Lauren. I actually booked them a while ago, I just forgot to mention it. I leave on Friday, May 18th and come home on Thursday, May 24th. I'm pretty excited, it's my first time out west. Plus I'll get to see Lauren's condo and all that good stuff.

I know, it's been ages since I posted. I've been busy, I swear. Well, busyish. Fair bit of subbing, still too much Sobeys. I so want to be able to say good bye. I need to figure out what I'm going to do this summer. There won't be enough hours for me in the post office, and I really don't want to go back to supervising. Customer service might be okay, but I don't know if there'll be enough hours there or not. I should try and find something different, but that's a lot of effort and I'd need to find a job where I could make about $11 an hour. That's a little tricky to find.

Part of my busy-ness also involved making 100 icons for icons100 They're all done, I just need to get motivated enough to upload them all and post them some where. I'm going to wait and surprise you all with the subject. (Though I'm sure it won't be that much of a surprise.)

Anyways, must finish getting ready for school. Teaching grade primary today!

Okay, so, there's this automated system that Vice Principals can use to get subs. It's called TempFinder and it is seriously the bane of my existence. Most calls you get come directly from VPs themselves, but once they've called all the subs on their short lists they punch the information into TempFinder and it starts calling any sub that hasn't already been marked as not available. One of the schools I work at a lot has a VP who never marks you as not available on TempFinder so I get calls constantly. I got one tonight and while I was in the process of telling it I wasn't available, I got a call on the other line. I think I manage to push the right button, but then that crazy automated voice doesn't say what I expected it to. So I'm all paranoid that I took a job even though I'm already teaching tomorrow. I know that there's a way online that you can check your upcoming assignments, but I can't remember my username. (Lots of people with my last name and first initial in the board, so it's not sfergus like it should be.) I'm freaking out. Total panic attack. I read through the FAQ and discover that there's a phone number I can call. Turns out I managed to do it right afterall. Phew. Then, in the ultimate piss off, I check my voicemail to see who was on the other line, and it was FREAKING TEMPFINDER AGAIN!!

Oh, update on my travel plans: the week I wanted to go doesn't work for Lauren. But, I'm going to go up in May. More time to save money. (Which is quite important really, in the grand scheme of things.)

I keep meaning to update, but I always end up being too lazy. Apologies for that. Not that I ever have anything particularly exciting to update about. My life is rather dull really.

I bought Jonathan's Valentine's present yesterday. I spent more money than I should have. I bought him a new watch. Not that he needs one, his old one works fine. It's just... old. So I bought him a brand new Timex. It's very similar to the one he's wearing. I contemplated getting him something really funky. (Britt, think of the one Jackie got Ryan. That's what I originally pictured...) The truth is, he's really not that in to funky stuff. I wanted something he'd be comfortable wearing. I picked up some Hershey's Kisses to go with it. (Tradition.)

I'm sort of planning a trip to Calgary. Lauren mentioned something in an email the other day about how she'd love to have some visitors. I've never been out west. I was looking at going for part of March Break, so I wouldn't miss out on any subbing, but that doesn't work for her. So now we're looking at the Victoria Day weekend. I can fly there and home for $532.71, I totally expected it to be waaaaaay more. Of course, that's flying Tango, the cheapy. For an extra $100 I could upgrade. I'm considering it... Just because the flight's are sooooo long. I'm waiting for Lauren to get home and come online so we can talk about it a little more. The more I think about it, the more I realize that May is definitely better. Gives me more time to save for starters. Plus it'll be nicer out. So it's not set in stone or anything, but it's looking like I will be heading out there some time this spring.

As you know, I was incredibly bored today. So I bring you icons. My She-Ra DVD was absolutely my favourite Christmas present. (Don't tell my mom though.) Anyways, I've watched all the episodes numerous times and decided that icons were the next logical step. (Don't ask where my logic comes from.) Comment and credit are lovely. I'm working tomorrow, teaching and at Sobeys. Why couldn't I have done one today and one tomorrow? Bah. Oh well, money is good. Teaching grade 1 tomorrow at a new school. Should be fun. xo.

I am so freaking bored it isn't even funny. I didn't sub today. (I rarely do on Mondays.) And I don't work at Sobeys tonight. So I basically sat around on the computer almost all day. I played on Ebay mainly. No exciting new purchases though.

Somebody needs to amuse me, seriously. And I need new LJ friends. Or something. And I need to find out somewhere I can buy dorky ringette souveniers that I don't have to pay $16 for the shipping of. Bah.

I'm cranky and grumpy on top of being bored. Can you tell? (Oh, and lazy. Which totally doesn't help. Because I'm sure I could find something to do. Like cleaning my room. But I won't.)

Seriously, I've got to stop spending so much money. I went out last night and spent waaaaay more money than I meant to. But I wanted yummy drinks, and they're the most expensive ones. Plus, it was freaking cold so there was more cabbing and less walking than usual. It was a semi-entertaining evening. Jenn and I tagged along on the bachelorette party Kerry planned for one of the girls she works with. Some of the ladies were a wee bit crazy. Jenn and I sorta got ditched but it was okay 'cos we went to the Applebarrel and had yummy food and then cabbed home. We had the oddest cabbies... The first one didn't talk at all. The second was more talkative. We were going to a bar we'd never been to before and asking him if he'd been there and yada yada. He said he hadn't, so one of the girls was like, "Well, where do you party?" And he told us that his partying was done every Sunday morning at church. (Not that that's particularly crazy since my own boyfriend spends every Sunday in church, but the cabbie just seemed really judgmental about us going out... It was odd.) The third cabbie was crazy talkative. Or maybe it was just 'cos Jenn and I were drunk and were talking a lot. I dunno. But we talked about books and movies and I don't even know what else. I spent the night at Jonathan's so I wouldn't have to spend as much on a cab. I stumbled in around 2 ready to pass out, but he wants to talk. Not about anything serious - just wants all the details from the evening. I left there around 8:30 this morning when he was getting up to get ready for church and then came home and slept until 11:15 when I had to drive my brother to work.

Anyways, that's not the real reason I have more money than brains. (Not that I really do, even though I might like to pretend it. If we're going to be really technical I'm about $28 000 in the hole. I don't think I have negative brains... At least I hope not!) I kinda went on a mini-shopping spree this morning. I love ebay and amazon. I bought this. 6 discs of She-Ra, how could I not buy it? I also bought 2 DVDs on Ebay. "Girls Rule!" Volumes 1 and 2. They each have 2 episodes from 3 different cartoons. One of them has Jem, She-Ra and the Popples and the other has Jem, Lady Lovelilocks and Raibow Brite. I'm totally excited. Not really necessary purchases... But I couldn't resist.

Must quickly plan a ringette practice now...

This is going to be a long week I think... Yesterday I was off the whole day, no teaching and no Sobeys. Ran some errands with Mom, but basically just sat around reading Eragon. By Sunday I was already booked to teach this afternoon, plus Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Plus working tonight, Friday night and Saturday at Sobeys. That would be rough enough - but I got a phone call just before leaving for school from Charlene at Sobeys. Turns out one of the girls in the post office broke 3 bones in her foot and has to be off work for 6 weeks. So now I'm working Wednesday night and Thursday night, plus instead of 8-3 on Saturday it may be 8-5. Then I have a bachelorette party to go to. I'm going to be so pooped on Sunday!

I've decided to stop making all my entries Friends Only. For the most part, they'll be open. There will definitely be certain entries that will be locked, and any posts where I'm posting pictures of my friends or family will be locked as well. Really, my life is pretty boring so it seems pointless to make the entries Friends Only.
